Hi, Ann! When it comes to wrangling sourdough starter, rubber spatulas are your best friend. I have a teeny tiny one for scraping down the sides of my starter's jar, and a larger one for larger cups and containers with wider mouths. A simple plastic bowl scraper is also handy to use in combination, as I can use it and the spatula to help clean any clinging starter from the other one. Happy baking!
