I started baking with my granddaughter when she was about 2, sitting on the counter as the "taster". Then the "pourer" at about 3, then eventually the "measurer" and the "mixer"! She learned many lessons along the way, such as patience, steadiness, measurements and fractions, and how to laugh with Grandma! She is now almost 16 and her family loves it when she enters the kitchen to bake on her own, tweaking recipes to make them her own! Gotta love it!
