Barb (my heroine). I am so happy I tried your suggestion for the round loaf lifters. I have been using them (2 of them) in the dutch oven, and with 2 sheet pans underneath the dutch oven - and for the first time ever, the bottom of my loaves are now divinely, crisply, goldenly, perfect. Before these loaf lifters I had tried everything - I even went so far as to try 7 sheets of parchment in the dutch oven + 2 sheet pans underneath the dutch oven + and 2 sheet pans on a rack beneath those....I was pulling my hair out. The bottoms were always burnt. But not anymore. These things are magic.
