Hi Ann - Yes the Le Creuset does work very well for this recipe. However, if you have the black knob on the lid, that came with the dutch oven, it will melt over 425F as it is pheonolic meaning it is made of highly compressed plastic. You can order a stainless steel knob on their website or on Amazon. We switched the knob over several years ago when I started using it for bread and it was perfect and it even gives your Le Creuset an upgraded look.
