I made these yesterday and was quite pleased. We probably used a bit too much butter at the bottom of each ring but that was soaked in and made them very rich tasting. When done, I split mine and toasted them. I ate one (2 halves) just the way they were - no extra butter needed - and the other one had creamed honey. I will definitely be doing this again.
