Hi Kate, yes, psyllium husk powder is another common ingredient used in gluten-free baking to help provide structure in the absence of gluten. However, the quantity of psyllium husk added isn't always equivalent to xanthan gum, so you may need to do a little research on this type of substitution. Generally you use more psyllium husk powder than gums, and this type of binder works especially well in gluten-free bread recipes.
