We have lots of sourdough recipes on our site that you can use your all-purpose and whole wheat starters in, you can check them out here! For this test PJ did use 1 cup of yeast water mixed with 2 scant cups of all-purpose flour, but this is equal parts of flour and water by weight (227 grams of water and 227 grams of flour, resulting in 454 grams of starter). Water is heavier than flour, so while one cup of water is 8 ounces (227 g), one cup of flour is only 4 1/4 ounces (120 g). We hope this helps to clarify and happy baking!
