I made yeast water for the first time with apples and pears, a great project for this stay at home period. I made the suggested sourdough bread recipe, and it came out great! Even though my house is cooler (hello, spring in VT) and I left the fermenting water and later the rising dough in much cooler temperatures than suggested the yeast was very active. The final bread was tasty and had a great crumb.
