Hi Donna,
I had four smaller sized figs that took so long to ripen up that their skins were drying out, so I decided to fine dice them up and add to my usual cranberry walnut mix. Highly DO NOT recommend. They made the dough way too wet, didn't hold their shape well with the stretch and folds, and either disappeared into the dough, dried out if near the crust and looked like dried figs anyway, or were in the middle as wet little pockets. Just use dried! That being said, glad I tried it out to see for myself that it was a disaster.
