Hi Grace! Fresh figs have quite a lot of water content compared to dried figs and I would not recommend making this substitution in general. Still, if you were keen to try it I would back out the water in the recipe by 2-4 tablespoons to account for all the extra moisture brought in by the fresh figs Happy baking!
