I wish you would have tried something I use called BOCHA SWEET. I do not get any after taste with it, nor any cooling effect. As a type 2 diabetic, it is part of what has helped me to get my A1C into the normal range without medication. And I do also agree with another commenter above, that other things/ingredients in the recipes probably need to be tweaked as well. The manuafacturers of these sugars are fooling themselves (but not us) when they say 'use just like sugar and everything will work'!
