Hi there, Grace! Browning butter is a much shorter process than making ghee. When browning butter you simply heat it to evaporate the water and let the milk proteins and sugar brown to your desired color, whereas with ghee you remove the whey when it floats to the surface and continue cooking what remains. We hope this helps to clarify!
