So disappointed... I made this pretty much exactly as written and had the following issues- my batter was entirely too wet, it couldn't be worked at all. I had to add flour and then finally I had to move it all to the baking sheet with parchment just to divide it and put in the marzipan. I had to bake it appx 10 extra minutes to get to 190. After 2 hrs of cooling and checking a slice near the middle, the crumb is entirely too dense. the flavor is fine, but the cake doesn't hold together as a slice and is not anything like the Stollen I'm used to. No idea what happened. Taste is ok, but this isn't Stollen.
