Is there a recipe where the almond paste is incorporated into the dough?
Many years ago my mother brought home some loaves of bread which contained currants and almond paste. She had been to a Dutch (Netherlands) heritage festival. I have searched our local Dutch ethnic recipes, checked in church cookbooks for the area and have not found one. The only currant bread I have a recipe for is one similar to this stollen recipe with out the icing.
