This looks delicious! I have become the designated Weihnachtsstollen baker in our family. Our recipe differs in that the filling contains no marzipan, rather a thick layer of melted butter covered with granulated sugar. Even my husband and my brothers in law, none of whom are German, love Stollen. In fact they complain every year because in accordance with tradition no-one is allowed to eat Stollen until Christmas Eve.
