You have different amounts of yeast listed on the recipe and on the blog post walking through the recipe, which may explain why these were an unmitigated disaster when I attempted to make them. The dough was exceptionally sticky to the point that I gave up and didn't even bother trying to bake them, as they would not roll nearly the way you describe, even after greasing the parchment paper with shortening. They fell apart when I attempted to cut them. They stuck to the parchment paper, the spatula, the bench scraper, and my hands. I am far from an amateur baker and extremely disappointed with the results of this recipe.
