We had a sudden urge for gingerbread over the weekend, and it just so happened I had everything I needed for this recipe. This was the first time in [won't say how long] I attempted to bake something NOT a mix. Despite my complete lack of confidence, this came out so VERY good. I had to sub for the buttermilk, but your recipe even predicted that. We will bake this again...and again...and...
