I made this and the cake part was delicious. The majority apples stuck horribly to the pan despite a good greasing. It also took my cake 48 min to be done ( I use an oven thermometer so the temp was correct ). I used a vintage pan that was about 8 1/2" so that may account for some of the time difference. I think next time I make this I may put the apples ( very thinly sliced) on top of the cake an serve from the pan. Despite it's messy looks both my parents gave it a thumbs up when I brought it as a dessert.
