I believe your rolls are over-risen...when this happens, the crust of the roll will separate from the dough beneath it. and then collapse. If you think your rolls are over-risen, just re-knead for a few minutes, shape and place in pan. They will rise again, and will bake up beautifully. Hope this helps.
