As to ignoring starter--in February at the beginning of the 'stay at home' period, I rediscovered a languishing jar of starter in the back of my fridge. I'm thinking it had been there since June 2019 (or maybe May). I pulled it out, fed it twice daily for 5 days and it came alive again. So that was 8-9 months without feeding and I'm baking bread and English muffins. Now if I can only find more flour in the supermarket--any supermarket!
