I enjoyed reading this so much, I had to comment. I'm the one who always scrolls straight to the recipe, but the highlighted quote about "busy you" and "thrifty you" caught my eye and made me smile. In fact, "Thrifty me" cannot bear to toss the leftovers from the one time I made puree from scratch, even though it's way past any chance of being usable!
Anyway, I stumbled upon this page and am glad I did! I'm drooling over almost every pumpkin recipe you mentioned (which I'm suddenly dying to make), but more than that I loved the truly pleasant escape of reading this page. The fun, warm humor and natural style conveys a sort of friendship quality I find hard to describe. You're an amazing writer and clearly have real talent and passion.
