Hi Charlotte! Great idea! This can certainly boost the vanilla flavor of your extract, however if you would like the origin and distinguished flavor of a particular vanilla bean to shine through in your extract, it may be best to use a neutral flavored vodka instead as the vanilla flavorings would become muddled into a stronger but less nuanced vanilla flavor.
