I’m making homemade vanilla extract for the 1st time. What is the best alcohol to purchase when making the vanilla extract. I heard you can use rum,and bourbon I’ve never been a big fan of vodka but I do live vanilla extract. I use it in all of my baking recipes as well as in my pancake and waffle batches. I honestly cannot seem to keep vanilla extract in the house, we are constantly running out.
