If you want flecks in your vanilla extract, you can simply split the bean in half length-wise and then put it into the liquor. This will expose the seeds and they'll slowly come out with time, especially if you agitate the bottle every so often. The more you shake/move the bottle, the more flecks you'll have in the final extract. I hope this helps! Kye@KAF
