Darla, a combination of unfortunate factors in recent years has caused the price of vanilla beans and vanilla extract to skyrocket. We've always bought our beans from Nielsen-Massey, as we know we're getting a quality product produced in a sustainable, responsible way. These days, of course, all of us consumers are able to "shop the world" online; so simply Googling vanilla beans in your favorite browser would be your best bet to find lower-priced beans.
