I added food coloring to whipped cream and it turned it grainy, why did this happen and does this have a solution? I only added a very small drop since I needed light colors. One of the samples turned almost watery, I wondered if it was the brand of heavy whipping cream? My local store was out of most heavy whipping cream so I ended up with a brand I don't normally use.
