PJ, I don't mean to hijack this thread, but I have a question about pie pans. I've seen references to glass, ceramic, tin foil and a couple others... all of which I have. I haven't seen mentions of stainless steel. I received SS pie and cake pans years ago. I am not a regular baker of sweets, but would like to know how SS stacks up to other pans, if you don't mind.
