I’ve been using KAF products for years and when I read this posting on a specific pie pan I had to comment. I usually bake my pies in a glass Pyrex pie dish but this past Christmas I had an embarrassing issue with my famous pecan pies I took to a party. They didn’t set! The pies cooked over an hour & looked perfect. I’m at a loss as to why since I use only quality ingredients (real butter). During the Christmas season I make pie crust, cinnamon rolls & orange rolls & freeze them (rolls before the second rise). I actually take the crust from the freezer & fill then bake. I guess I’ll need to buy this pie pan to see if it makes a difference. Now switching gears, I’ve been looking for a jelly roll pan. So many have different dimensions. What size should a jelly roll pan really be? Mine is 14 1/2 by 9 1/2 but my Texas sheet cake recipe would never fit in it. The recipe says to use a jelly roll pan but I have to use my big sheet pan. Any advice? I think the USA jelly roll pan has the same dimensions as mine.
