I have always wondered who and why biscuits and cookies should be round? When I make homemade biscuits (not the ones out of a can or bag in frozen section) I just pat the dough in a large square and cut it in squares. They taste exactly the same as round ones and I have no “scraps” to re-roll to make a couple of more biscuits. I hadn’t thought about doing the same thing w cookie dough, and so what, if the cookies aren’t completely round, they still taste the same. Another genius idea I will try. With arthritic hands it sure will make cookie baking a lot easier for me.
