Fat is blended into flour faster in a food processor if you use the steel knife. In fact I would choose this option. Salt and baking powder while the steel blade is in place. Then switch in the dough blade to add the water. TEN SECONDS of kneading with the food processor is the "gentle knead" for any brand of full power machine. That info comes from manuals.
