Hi Celeste, after you purchase new flour, try sticking it in the freezer for four days, which can help eliminate future bugs. If you have room in your freezer, storing whole grain flours there is always a good idea. Because whole grain flours contain oil in the germ, they have a tendency to go rancid over time. Freezing will help extend their shelf life.
