Your substitution for salt instead of sugar reminded me of my “oops” when I was in high school. I was at my aunt’s house getting ready for an out of town game and thought it would be nice to bring hot chocolate (back then there were no instant hot chocolate in individual packets)! Didn’t realize until I was passing the hot chocolate around for everyone and their looks at me. When I tasted it, I also had a very “UGH” expression on my face. My aunt had her salt in a jar w no label on it. Looked like sugar, but didn’t taste it, and there was the problem! No one accepted anything I brought on the bus any longer.
Also, I remember another aunt of mine telling me her son was fixing a pot roast and the flour was substituted w powdered sugar!
