Multitasking is always what gets me! And I almost always have that same fail with the pie crust scraps -- I forget all about them once they're in the oven. The worst is when my hand slips when I'm taking something out of the oven and it falls all over the floor -- not the kitchen floor, but the 400-degree oven floor! And of course my kids will never let me forget the time I used salt instead of sugar in my raisin bread. Sigh. Nice to know the pros have plenty of disasters too.
