I loved this -- laughed til I cried. A question: A recipe says, for example: 1 cup cornflakes, crushed 1 cup pecans, chopped To me, this means to measure and then crush or chop, which means there will be less than a cup of the crushed or chopped cornflakes or pecans. But I know from experience that sometimes, even though the recipe is written as above, the recipe writer/blogger means 1 cup crushed cornflakes or 1 cup chopped pecans. This may not always make a difference, but it could. Is there a standard or generally accepted guideline as to when and how to measure in such cases?
