When I was renting a basement apartment without a kitchen in Indiana, my landlady would let me use her oven for baking projects. One day I decided to make my favorite chocolate cake. As I was carrying a pan upstairs to bake, I tripped and sloshed dark chocolate batter all over the CARPETED stairs. I was lucky that she had just bought one of those mini carpet cleaners, so she took it fairly well!
