I baked a cake for my mom's birthday when I was 12. I was going to surprise her, and as she was rushing out of the house I asked her what was the substitute for buttermilk, she didn't hear the whole word and said margarine! I'm just glad the counter wasn't damaged when she whacked it on the edge of the counter to remove it.
