My first time I made a 2 layer cake from scratch I was following a recipe from a local newspaper for a competition. When I was done the chocolate 2 layer cake was only about 1 1/2 inches tall!!! I had forgot to put in the baking powder. Haha, now I always get all my ingredients out first. Needless to say I didn’t take my cake to the competition. But it was delicious!!
