My Mom was a good baker. One of the most epic baking fails I know of was when she made banana bread and doubled the butter. After I cleaned up the oven from the overflow, the contents still in the loaf pan turned out to be a really fabulous banana baked pudding. Her other epic baking fail was the beautiful coffee cake where instead of grabbing the can of cinnamon, she grabbed the identical can of chili powder. I kind of regret refusing even to taste it....
