Many years ago ( the early 70’s ) my mother, who spent one full day a week making 12 large loaves for the week (she would freeze them) to feed my hungry three older brothers, used our dishwasher! After a load of dishes had finished and removed, she would place the bread dough containers inside to sit on the bottom rack then close the door to let it do it’s thing. Just warm enough with a hint of moisture! It worked. We would arrive home after a day at school to the smell of the first loaves coming out of the oven, begging for a warm slice slatherd with butter and honey.
