My microwave is over the stove, and when I turn on its lights, the inside of microwave gets some radiant heat from them.
So I just put dough in bowl, cover loosely with plastic wrap, then cover with damp linen towel. No need to heat boiling water first and cool down.
This method works well for me.
As long as I hit Timer and not Cook Time, when setting the rise time, ha.
But this all changes when no more incandescent bulbs!
