When I lived in my grandfather's house (one that had been originally built before indoor plumbing and was poorly insulated with one heat source bizarrely placed in the two story house), I would turn on the shower in the claw foot tub and steam up the bathroom while I mixed my ingredients and kneaded my bread. Once I was ready to get to rising, I'd turn off the shower, put a plastic stool in the center of the tub, and place my sealed bread tub on the stool. My yeast breads were always delighted with this method!
