Hi Virgina. What a delicious cake indeed! This recipe originated from Tanyard Farm (located in West Hartford, Vermont). The farm, known for their multitude of offerings, also included a bakery, which evolved as a way for them to use their own dairy ingredients. One specialty of that space? Buttermilk cakes!
