In the 50's and '60's the buttermilk carton had directions that you could add milk to the buttermilk and that would make buttermilk. Those directions are not found on any container of buttermilk now!!!! I add milk to my buttermilk sometimes still especially when I do not have enough buttermilk for my recipe. Think I'll go right now and add some.
