When I buy a quart of buttermilk, it's specifically for my favorite pancake recipe. With the leftover buttermilk, I make a container of Hidden Valley Ranch dressing (be sure to buy the one that calls for buttermilk!) and that way, I have very little waste. That Farmhouse Buttermilk cake recipe may have to be on my regular rotation. Looks yum! My husband is German and apparently grew up eating cucumbers in buttermilk. I still haven't tried that, but one of these days...
