You can definitely use cake flour for an extra tender cake, Bailey! This recipe works well with both, but we recognize that the average baker is more likely to have access to all-purpose flour than cake flour. If it's something you love and keep in your pantry, go for it! We just don't want anyone to feel like this recipe is out of reach just because they can't find a special kind of flour. Happy baking!
