Like so many, I have been trying to find a yellow homemade cake recipe that I love. I have tried to make your cake recipe, on your cake flour box, several times. Mind you, I am a pretty good baker. Every single time the cake is dry and tough. I'm not over baking, over mixing.....I just can't figure out what I am doing wrong. I'm assuming the recipe on your box shouldn't be coming out this way. I love love the chocolate cake recipe on the same box. Help!!! What could I be doing wrong? This last time I was sure it would be amazing.....nope...dry and tough crumb. I notice this new 2019 recipe has much less flour and uses mostly oil instead of all butter. Is this recipe better?? I would really love to find a recipe I love! Any help would be greatly appreciated. I've even done my research on creaming etc....and the science of cake. Thanks for any advice! I'd love to be able to make a great homemade yellow layer cake!
