I made this cake today for my son's birthday. I haven't tasted it yet, but the frosting is really stiff and difficult to apply. The cake doesn't look very pretty. I followed the directions, so I'm not sure what went wrong, but it almost seems like the frosting could benefit from a bit of milk or cream or something. Any tips?
