Hi Jennifer! Cakes are something we'd recommend baking with the convection fan off for best results. We have a blog article detailing which baked goods turn out better with or without convection that's a helpful resource.
If you're unable to turn off this function, your best bet is to lower the oven temperature by 25°F and start checking the cake about 10 minutes early. Happy baking! Annabelle@KAF
