I have always made cakes from scratch, just easier than a box cake and much tastier! I make a bonny butter cake (sometimes make it into a marble cake) and use your espresso powder and cocoa to make a mocha frosting. I will have to try your birthday cake recipe though! Would you use some of your cake enhancer?
