I've been making my version of English Toffee for 50 years this month. I've tweaked it over the years to the point its perfect. I do two things nobody else does but my candy gets raves. I'm making 40 lbs this year. I make it during the year too which I didn't used to do because I had 4 little ones. I've not ever given out my recipe but when I'm gone, I've promised my family its theirs. Its got to be one of my favorite things to do for celebrations. My recipe is very very simple. I don't do complicated. No candy thermometer ever. It just works. My first batch was 1969. I can't believe I'm still around to do something I've loved to do for so many years.
